Dale Sawall, 71
Dale Sawall, 71, of New London, WI, died, Sunday, May 18, 2008.
He was born March 13, 1937 in Appleton, WI, to Casper and Zoa (Konow) Sawall. He was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Readfield, WI.
Dale loved life, never a dull moment, always a laugh and always a joke. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, wrestling, watching the Green Bay Packers and talking with friends and family. He will be remembered for his positive attitude and generosity.
He is survived by three children: Rick Sawall, Appleton, Vicki (Dale) Benson, New Prague, and Jill (Pete) Prochnow, New London; four grandchildren, Kaleb Benson (and Ashley) of New Prague, Krystle (Tony) Lanoue of South Dakota, Sam Sawall of Appleton, and Seth Sawall of New London; and great grandchild, Kendra Benson; sisters, a brother and brother-in-law: Delores (Marv) Handschke of New London, Diane (Neil) Schmidt of New London, Delmar (and Violet) of Appleton, Gary (Kathy) Schmidt, numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Donna and Debbie.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Readfield, with Rev. Robert Diener officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London was held Wednesday, May 21, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. It will also be held at the church on Thursday at 10 a.m.
