David Velishek, 60
David J. Velishek, 60, of Albert Lea, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the St. John Lutheran Home in Albert Lea.
David was born on October 16, 1952, in New Prague, a son of Francis and Laura (Boldt) Velishek. He worked at the Le Sueur Foundry and had also painted water towers.
He is survived by children David Velishek Jr., Forest City, IA, Jason Velishek, Forest City, IA; stepsons Kelly Garner, Hayward, and Shane Garner, Mason City, IA; siblings Roger Velishek, Waterville, Francis Velishek, Maddriville, LA, Raymond Velishek, Dixon, MO, Pat Hlavac, New Prague, and Eileen Volk, Klamath Falls; grandchildren Autumn and Alyxis Velishek and Kia Velishek (and special friend Jackie Nielson).
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Military honors will be provided by the Montgomery Area Veterans Honor Guard.
