Defense key in wins over Sabers, Wingers
The New Prague Trojan boys basketball team was tied for second place in the Missota Conference with four games left following a pair of victories last week. The Trojans avenged an earlier loss to Shakopee with a 57-44 win, then defeated Red Wing 52-38 to give them a 17-5 record (7-3 Missota). Chaska is in first place with a 9-1 record, while the Trojans and Shakopee are tied for second.
New Prague, rated No. 7 in Class AAA, was scheduled to play at Chanhassen Tuesday, Feb. 22. They have three games left on their regular season schedule. They host Farmington Friday, Feb.
