DeLuca announces run for legislature

Tony DeLuca of New Prague, a former member of the New Prague Area School Board, has announced his candidacy for the Minnesota House of Representatives as a Republican in District 25A. He made the announcement in a press release this weekend. DeLuca hopes to win the seat currently held by State Rep. Laura Brod (R-New Prague) who announced last week she would not be seeking reelection. The only other announced candidate is Montgomery Mayor Mick McGuire, a DFL'er. The two-week filing period for public office begins Tuesday, May 18. Read more in the May 20, 2010 print edition of The New Prague Times.
