Demolition of old creamery reveals timeless treasures

Demolition crews began bringing down the former AMPI plant at the corner of Second Street NW and Second Avenue NW in New Prague on Thursday, Jan. 3. Those same crews put a hold on their work briefly after finding two time capsules.

Set in opposite corners of the building, one capsule was found in the original 1912 building and the other in the 1929 addition. Brian Trnka of Geiger Development, which owns the building, said the time capsules were a complete surprise.
