DiAnn Smith, 66

DiAnn C. Smith, 66, of Fridley, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

DiAnn graduated from New Prague High School in 1961 and the St. Cloud School of Nursing in 1964. She is survived by her husband Rick Smith; children David Mockenhaupt, Jody Mockenhaupt and Dan (LeeAnn) Mockenhaupt; stepchildren Steve (Laurie) Smith, Julie (Kevin) Kramer and Mike (Toni) Smith; nine grandchildren; brothers Dick (Cheryl) Dietz, Bill (Carol) Dietz, Doug (Charlene) Dietz and Al (Laurie) Dietz; and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dan and Colleen Dietz; and a brother Kevin Dietz.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m., at the Billman-Hunt Chapel, 2701 Central Ave. N.E., Minneapolis.

Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel.

Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
