Donald Horejsi, 71

Donald Joseph Horejsi, 71, of Fort Meade, FL, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, in Orlando, FL.

Donald was born December 10, 1939, in Veseli, a son of John and Mary Agnes (Barta) Horejsi Sr. He married Barbara Wicklem on April 22, 1961, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Minneapolis. Don was a retired (1993) Ironworker from Local #512. He loved NASCAR, polka music and good food.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years; children Gregory (Deborah) Horejsi, Elko New Market, Theresa (Richard) Harris, Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Michele (Eric) Oja, Farmington; three grandchildren Ricardo Harris, Logan Oja and Bryce Horejsi; and a sister Julia Malecha, of Wisconsin.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m., at the Oja residence, 19446 Evening Star Way, Farmington.
