Doris Pangerl, 80

Doris Marie Pangerl, 80, of Pine City, died on Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at her home on Cross Lake.

Doris was born on December 30, 1924, in Barnum, to Christine Evelyn (Mikiska) and Albert Joseph Adamek. She was baptized into the Catholic church in New Prague, where both of her parents grew up.

On April 11, 1950, Doris married Leonard Bernard Pangerl in Pine City. She was a school teacher and taught in several Pine County rural schools and Beroun. She later taught at St. Mary’s School in Pine City and worked for Pine Technical School and Cambridge State Hospital teaching the mentally challenged. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, the Catholic Council of Women, and the Royal Neighbors.

Doris is survived by her husband Leonard of Pine City; sons Leonard (Kris), Hugo, Joseph (Pam) and Albert (Cindy), both of Pine City; daughters Juliann (Randy) Grahn, Cook, and Jacki (Drew) Rydberg, Pine City; brother Robert (Rachel) Adamek, St. Cloud; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Pine City. Rev. Michael J. Lyons officiated.

Casketbearers were Shane Johnson, Sam Grahn, Derek and Michael Rydberg, Andy Ames and Derek Klande.

Honorary casketbearers were Tyler, Joseph, David and Jordan Pangerl.

Interment was at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Pine City.
