DRS playoff picture coming into focus
The Dakota-Rice-Scott playoff picture is close to being finalized as the regular season enters its final weekend.
Faribault, St. Benedict and New Market have clinched division championships in the Red, White and Blue divisions, respectively, and all pairings have been determined.
Pairings for the playoffs are:
Red - Webster vs. Faribault; Union Hill vs. Montgomery
White - Veseli vs. St. Benedict; Lonsdale vs. Prior Lake
Blue - Shakopee vs. New Market, New Prague vs. St. Patrick.
Playoffs begin Tuesday, July 23. The second team listed in each pairing has home field advanatage, except in the New Prague/St. Patrick series. Those teams play Sunday, and will also finish a suspended game on Sunday. The results of those two games will determine home field for the series.
Complete playoff schedules for the best-of-three series, which will determine seeding in the regional playoffs, will be announced following Sunday's games.
