Electromed employees donate to Peace Center
Employees of Electromed donated food and money to the Peace Center Food Shelf in New Prague Friday, Nov. 18.
The Electromed corporate headquarters is located in New Prague. Company employees were challenged to raise a half-ton of food in three weeks for the holiday season, benefiting the Peace Center, a local food distribution center. The 65-plus employees at the Electromed corporate office donated 589.8 pounds of food and $961.21. With a combined goal of 1,000 units to include pounds of food and monetary donations, Electromed employee donations totaled 1,551 units, well over a halfton.
"Making life’s important moments possible – one breath at a time," Electromed’s core purpose, changed slightly during the three-week contest to "making life’s important moments possible – one meal at a time." Electromed has three buildings on the corporate headquarter campus, and the employees competed for building bragging rights.
Kathleen Skarvan, President and CEO of Electromed said, "I am so proud of our people for coming together to donate over 1,500 units of food for a wonderful cause right in our own backyard.
