Elsie M. Smisek, 90, of New Prague, formerly of rural Webster, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Mala Strana Health Care Center in New Prague. S

he is survived by her children Janet (Otto) Johnson, Prior Lake, Nancy (Dennis) Sheehan, Ankeny, IA, Ken (Marlaine) Smisek, St. Peter, Lenny (Joan) Smisek, Lonsdale, Dan (Cecilia) Smisek, Okoboji, IA, and Randy “Chester” (Amy) Smisek, New Prague; 13 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; siblings Adeline Bisek and Donald “Tiny” Sticha; sister-in law Marcie Sticha Lemke; and by other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank V. Smisek; her parents Charles and Josephine (Hruza) Sticha; siblings Frank W. (Adeline) Sticha, Charles Sticha Jr., Mary (William) Skluzacek, Emily (Frank) Kalina; sister-in-law Jean Sticha; brother-in-law Bill Bisek; and granddaughter-inlaw Anna Ross.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 7, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli.

Interment was at the Most Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday at the White Funeral Home in Lonsdale, and one hour prior to Mass on Monday, also at the funeral home.
