Emma Preslicka, 91

Emma Preslicka, 91, of Shakopee, who was born and raised in New Prague, died on Thursday, July 29, 2004, at her home.

Emma was born on March 17, 1913, Martin and Margaret (Chermak) Rybak in New Prague. She attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School in New Prague.

Emma married Frank Preslicka in New Prague.

She worked for Tikalsky Produce, housekeeper for Queen of Peace Hospital and St. Francis Hospital and dishwasher at Wampach’s Restaurant in Shakopee. Emma moved to Shakopee after her husband’s death in 1955.

She is survived by a daughter, Frances Preslicka, Shakopee; two brothers, George and Albert Rybak, both of Shakopee; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, on November 26, 1955; parents; and three brothers, William, Edward and Martin Rybak.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 2, at the Bruzek Funeral Home. Rev. George Freeman officiated.

Pallbearers were Martin and Gene Rybak.

Visitation was on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Monday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Interment was at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in New Prague.
