Fall sports start for TCU athletes

Athletes in football, volleyball, tennis and cross country got down to business on Monday, Aug. 15 with the start of the fall sports season at Tri-City United Schools. Students laced up their shoes and hit the courts, weight rooms and highway for training and conditioning, starting around 8 a.m. Pictured are the TCU cross country runners coming into the track after a run on Highway 13 in Montgomery. The runners’ first scrimmage will be on Monday, Aug. 22 at Baylor Regional Park in Norwood-Young America. The tennis team’s first match will be Tuesday, Aug. 23. The football athletes hit the gridiron on Saturday, Aug. 27 for a scrimmage at Glenco-Silver Lake. The volleyball team travels to Howard Lake Waverly-Winsted the same day for their first match.
