Farewell to the Class of 2017

New Prague High School will say goodbye to another graduating class on Friday, May 26. The Class of 2017 - some 313 strong - will be the largest group ever to leave the school and venture to their futures.

Members of the class will go on to a variety of careers. Whether they are going straight to a job, off to a techniccal college, an area four-year school, the military or an out-of-state school, we as a community hope that they will take fond memories of their times at New Prague High School.

Years from now, at class reunions, members of the class will gather. Old friendships will be rekindled and graduates will look back at their high school years remembering the hopes and dreams of this day. Many have definite plans for their future. Only time will tell whether they will take root and come true, or if they will be replaced by new dreams.

To members of the Class of 2017, we as a community wish you well. We hope the local school system has served you well, preparing you for whatever your future brings. The men and women who have taught you over the years, as well as your parents and family members, and your friends have all had a hand in making you who you are today. The class motto this year's seniors have chosen is “If you want to go places you’ve never gone, you must be willing to do things you’ve never done.” Wherever you go, whatever you do, we wish you well.
