Floor hockey, boys hoops teams lose
New Prague High School's adapted floor hockey and boys basketball teams both lost in tournament action Friday.
The boys basketball team lost to Winona 62-34 in the Section 1AAA title game. Dan Geiger led the Trojans with 19 points. New Prague ends its season with a 19-10 record.
The Adapted Floor Hockey lost its first round game in the CI Division State Tournament 9-4 to undefeated Anoka-Hennepin. Marcus Schoenbauer kept New Prague close by stopping 51 shots. Matthew Schoenbauer had two goals and an assist to lead the Trojan's offense.
New Prague will play at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 20, in the consolation round at Bloomington Jefferson High School against Maple Grove. The winner plays in the consolation championship at 1:45 p.m.
