Floor hockey team stays unbeaten
The New Prague/Tri-City United/Le Sueur-Henderson floor hockey team remains unbeaten with a 12-6 win over Burnsville/Farmington/ Lakeville Monday, Feb. 11.
The Trojans started slowly, with Burnsville leading 3-1 after one period, but the Trojans’ Matthew Schoenbauer and Alex Palma began peppering the Burnsville goalie and putting the puck in the net. Schoenbauer had seven goals and an assist, while Palma had four goals. The Trojans’ other goal came from Jacob Malecha.
Charlie Zelinger had 20 saves for the Trojans, who outshot the Blazing Cats 82- 26.
"Charlie had a great game in net and Jacob Malecha had a really great game both offensively and defensively,” coach Shellie Kriha said. “We outshot them and it was a great win for New Prague. Burnsville is always a really tough team and it was nice to get the win."
