Four in college? Ask the Halloran family about it

One of the biggest steps as parents is sending your children off to college. The separation, the adjustments, the distance...

But Jim and Holly Halloran, formerly of St. Thomas, now living in Belle Plaine, didn't have to deal with these adjustments for long. Because they too decided to attend college with their two daughters Katie and Kristen.

All four of them are currently enrolled at Minnesota State University Mankato. Katie, 21, graduates in December, with a major in psychology. Kristen, 18, transferred from Crown College and is a freshman in the pre-med program. Mom Holly is a senior social work major, and Dad Jim is a freshman, pursuing a major in social studies and education.
