Fr. Richard Roedel, 80

Fr. Richard Paul Roedel, 80, of Belle Plaine, who formerly served the joint parishes of St. Scholastica in Heidelburg, St. Joseph's in Lexington and St. Thomas in St. Thomas, died Monday, July 16, 2012, at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Services are at 11 a.m. Friday, July 20, at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation is at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., and continues Friday, one hour prior to the mass at church. An obituary will be published in the July 19, 2012 edition of The New Prague Times.
