Francis J. A. Rutt, 82
Francis J. A. Rutt, 82, of Apple Valley, formerly of Le Center, died on Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at the Bloomington Care Center in Bloomington.
He was born to Frank and Mary (Velishek) Rutt on September 24, 1922, in Lexington Township. He attended St. Raphael’s School in Montgomery and District #11 in Lexington Township in Le Sueur County, from which he graduated in 1937.
Francis married Ariless Mudrick in Stacy and farmed while living near Stacy and was employed as a production manager for Whirlpool for 32 years. He was a member of the Stacy Fire Department for 22 years, the Stacy Development Corp. and the Lent Township Board for 22 years. They also resided at Long Lake and Apple Valley.
After his wife’s death, he married Marjorie Rapp.
He is survived by his wife; son, James (Grace) Rutt; three grandchildren; stepchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; seven sisters, Estellene Bastyr, New Prague, Dolores Bultman, Apple Valley, Lou Ella Gustafson, Faribault, Mary Lou Chadderdon, Eureka, KS, Donna Mae Ginter, New Prague, Beverly Rutt, Paradise Valley, AZ, Kathryn Jean McGowen, Brownwood, TX; three brothers, J. Edison, Waseca, Gary, St. Thomas, and J. Kenneth Rutt, Chaska; many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, who died in February, 1996; and a stillborn daughter.
Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the White Funeral Home in Apple Valley.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Church of Risen Savior in Burnsville. Rev. Tim Wozniak officiated.
Pallbearers were Jason Hayford, Robert Bastyr, Richard Ginter, Peter, David and Frank Rutt.
