Frank Tesarek, 88

Frank D. Tesarek, 88, of New Prague, died at Abbott-Northwest Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004.

He was born on August 28, 1915, in Hopkins, to Frank and Emily (Hympam) Tesarek. Frank attended Bush Lake School and Shady Oak School.

Frank Tesarek and Margaret Adelmann were married on October 29, 1939, at Assumption Catholic Church in Richfield. He worked as a crop and dairy farmer near Hopkins and later moved to St. Benedict where he continued to farm until he suffered a stroke in 1972. He remained on the farm until 1997 after which he moved to New Prague. Frank was a member of the Twin City Milk Producers Association of Minneapolis. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Frank Tesarek is survived by his wife, Margaret Tesarek, of New Prague, and a nephew, Dan (Carol) VanHeel of Maple Grove. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brother, Benny and Jerry Tesarek; and two sisters, Emily Rapp and Mary VanHeel.

Funeral services were held at St. Benedict Catholic Church in St. Benedict on Tuesday, Aug. 10 at 12:30 p.m. Father Elgar Bockenfeld officiated.

Pallbearers were Russ, Jerry and Craig Adelmann, Jim Jacobson, Steve Fisher and Bob Kramer. Reader was Tom Kramer.

Interment was at St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague. A rosary was said at 7 p.m.

Memorials are preferred to Our Lady of Good Counsel Cancer Home in St. Paul.
