Gale Blohm, 68

Gale E. Blohm, 68, of Elko New Market, died Monday, March 28, 2011, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Gale was born September 18, 1942, in Cannon Falls, a son of Gordon and Myrtle (Markuson) Blohm. A lifelong resident of Elko New Market, he attended Lakeville Public Schools and worked as a maintenance supervisor at Strout Plastics in Bloomington. Gale enjoyed fishing and playing the concertina.

He is survived by two children Doreen Blohm, Mexico, and Daryl (Kathi) Blohm, Elko New Market; five grandchildren; his life partner Marilyn Green, Elko New Market; and Marilyn's children Michael Green, Maplewood, Debra Green, Minneapolis, and Becky Green, Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 1, at 11 a.m., at Christiania Lutheran Church, 26691 Pillsbury Ave., Lakeville, with Rev. David Mesaros officiating.

Interment is at the Highview Christiania Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation is at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Arrangements are with the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
