Gareis, Busch bring home medals

Two Trojan gymnasts earned their way to the medal stand Friday as the State Class A Gymnastics meet concluded with individual competition.

Senior Alysha Gareis took fourth place with a 9.4 on the uneven bars, while junior Laura Busch placed fifth on the balance beam with a 9.425.

Gareis and Busch also competed on the vault, with Gareis placing 18th with a 9.3 and Busch 28th with an 8.9

Other Trojans competing included junior Jess Hoffman, who placed 14th in the all-around with a 36.6, 17th on the bars with an 8.85 and 15th on the floor with a 9.225.
