Gertrude Anna Ceplecha, 92
Gertrude Anna Ceplecha, 92, of New Prague, formerly of Montgomery, died at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague on Wednesday, March 30, 2005.
Gertrude was born to Joseph and Mary (Skluzacek) Trcka on January 1, 1913, in Rice County, Minnesota.
She married Joseph R. Ceplecha at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lonsdale on November 8, 1932. She was a homemaker all her life.
Gertrude is survived by sons, Roman (Roselyn), Raymond (Phyllis) and Robert Ceplecha; daughters, Janette (Francis) Kalina and Joyce (Joseph) Fierst; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; brother, Alois (Evelyn) Trcka.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son; son-in-law, Donald F. Simon; daughter-in-law, Elaine Ceplecha; great-grandson, Hunter Ceplecha; brothers, George, Joseph, Frank and Matthew Trcka; sisters, Mary Duban, Johanna Kopet and infant twin sisters.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli. Rev. John Lapensky presided.
Pallbearers were Rodney, Rick, Peter, Roland and Joseph Ceplecha, Joseph and Charles Fierst, William Simon.
Interment was at St. John’s Cemetery in Veseli.
Visitation was held at White Funeral Home in Lonsdale from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 1.
