Get ready for winter...

By Chuck Kajer

Minnesota's strange weather patterns have struck again. After a dry summer, we proceeded to have one of the wettest Octobers on record, only to be followed by a week of 50- and 60-degree temperatures in the first two weeks of November.

This week's weather contrasts with the message that the Minnesota Department of Public Safety wants to convey during Winter Hazard Awareness Week, November 9-13.

Experienced Minnesotans know that the weather can turn quite suddenly.
