Girl Scouts donate to Peace Center
By Patrick Fisher
Members of New Prague’s Girl Scout Troop 1406 donated boxes full of treasure to the Peace Center in New Prague on Thursday, April 7.
The donations, known as Treasure Boxes, were part of a project for the Girl Scouts’ Bronze Award. The girls were required to do a service project. The nine girls and their leaders began by discussing world hunger and then scaled down to how can they make a difference in the community.
