According to Titan Coach Kevin Woitas, the Titan girls had too many miscues in the first half and found themselves down 26-25 at halftime.
However, halftime proved beneficial for the Titans who were able to regroup and take the game.
“We were able to heat up in the second half,” Woitas said. “The girls limited their miscues to take the conference win 49-39.”
The Titans were led by Alyshia Angileno's 18 points, 8 rebounds and Joslyn Vargo's 10 points, and 5 rebounds. Rounding out the Titan scoring was Megan Steffen and Courtney Hentges with 5 each, Chelsey Walerius had 4, Molly Ehlers 3, and Coley Selly and Madie Chadderdon 2 points each. Courtney Hentges also had 5 assists with Coley Selly dishing out 4 assists.
The Titans play road games this week with St. Peter on Monday, Watertown-Mayer on Tuesday, and Sibley East on Friday.
