Girls basketball drops one to United South Central
The Titan girls basketball team continued to struggle at the midway point of the season when they dropped a non-conference game on Saturday, Jan. 12 to United South Central.
Titan Coach Kevin Woitas said the game was a very low scoring game with USC holding a 15-10 halftime lead.
“The Titans were able to close the gap late in the game, but it wasn't enough as they suffered a 38-34 loss on the road,” he said.
The Titans were led by sophomore Danielle Angileno who finished the game with double-double, scoring 10 points and pulling in 12 rebounds. Edith Martinez added 7 points and 11 rebounds. Alyshia Angileno had 8 points, Megan Steffen and Joslyn Vargo each had 3, Coley Selly had 2, and Courtney Hentges added 1 point.
