Girls drop a pair to Bucs and Raiders
The TCU girls basketball team dropped a pair of games last week. The Titans lost to WEM 51-38 and NYA 76-40.
The Titans were led on Tuesday night by Edith Martinez who finished the game with 13 points and 11 rebounds. It was Martinez's first double-double of the season.
Danielle Angileno added eight points.
On Friday night the Titans opened up conference play on the road against one of the conference favorites in Norwood-Young America. Titan Coach Kevin Woitas said his team struggled with the Raider's aggressive 2-3 zone defense all night, turning the ball over 28 times. The Titans were led by a monster performance from Center Alyshia Angileno. She had 18 points and pulled in a game-high 19 rebounds. Sister Danielle Angileno chipped in 11 points and six rebounds before fouling out with eight minutes to go in the game.
The Titans have a pair of conference games this week. They travel to Le Sueur on Tuesday and host Watertown-Mayer on Thursday night.
