Girls golf team finishes 2nd in WCC East
The New Prague Trojan girls golf team will compete in the Section 2AAA tournament Wednesday, May 31, at Ridges at Sand Creek Golf Course in Jordan.
The Trojans had two meets last week, both nine-hole events, and played on Monday, May 22, in a meet at Ridges. Results of that meet were not available at press time.
at Stonebrooke
New Prague, Shakopee and Prior lake competed in a three-team meet at Stonebrooke GC in Shakopee. The host Sabers won the meet with a score of 167, followed by New Prague at 180 and Prior Lake 209.
The match was shortened to nine holes because of a late start due to rain.
"The course was very wet but the girls played well," Coach Dan Holgate said.
Annika DuMoulin was medalist with a 40. Taylor Hemann started of with a bad hole but finished with a good day at 44. Brooke Buthe also played well, but one rough hole raised her score to 46. Other Trojan scores were Libby Zweber 50, Sydney Brod 53, and Hannah Bruder 55.

The final Wright County East match of the season was a 9-hole makeup from earlier in the year. New Prague finished....
