Gliszinski to step down as sheriff

The Le Sueur County Sheriff's Department took center stage for the Tuesday, Feb. 9 meeting of the county board of commissioners. The department was the recipient of awards and grants for its efforts in the Safe & Sober program, followed by an announcement from Sheriff Dave Gliszinski that he is retiring at the end of this month.

The sheriff was listed as the final person on the meeting agenda for the day, and he quietly approached the board with a request that his retirement would be accepted, effective February 26.
