Gregory Lindahl, 57

Gregory Allen Lindahl, 57, of New Prague, formerly of Ruthton, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, March 21, 2010.

He was born September 3, 1952, in Tyler, a son of Glenn and Alene (Toft) Lindahl. He graduated from Ruthton High School in 1970. In 1975 he moved to Marshall and worked for Pittsburgh Paint & Glass until 1989. Greg married Deb Heinemann in Dell Rapids, SD. He first worked in lawn care in Prior Lake, and in 1992 moved to New Prague, where he worked for Nature's Way Lawn Service. Greg was an avid bowler and enjoyed all sports, especially basketball, baseball, football (a Dallas Cowboys fan), golf, softball, college sports and horse racing.

He is survived by children Jason Lindahl, Seattle, WA and Heather (Zachary) Apland, Dell Rapids, SD; three grandchildren Cody, Shelby and MacKenzie Apland; brothers Gene (Sandy) Lindahl, Morristown and Gary Lindahl, Highland, WI; a sister Gail (Tom) Curtis, Bloomington; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service was held Monday, March 29, at 1 p.m., at the Peace Lutheran Church in Ruthton.

Burial was at Peace Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.

Arrangements were with the Hartquist Funeral Home, Utoft-Johansen Chapel, Tyler and Lake Benton.
