Gunderson to be honored Friday

New Prague girls basketball coach Ron Gunderson will be honored Friday, Feb. 1, at the Northfield-New Prague basketball game at New Prague High School.

All current basketball players from the youth levels on up, and all New Prague basketball alumni are encouraged to attend the game. Gunderson has been coach of the Trojan girls program since the 1976-77 season and on Tuesday, Jan. 15, he earned his 600th career win. He is only the fourth girls basketball coach in state history to reach that milestone.

There will be a short presentation at the conclusion of Friday’s game, and a reception honoring him in the commons area after the game.
