Gymnasts remain unbeaten in Missota

Coach Matt Shetka's Trojan gymnastics team finished its home season last week with matches against Farmington and Red Wing, then traveled to Jackson Saturday for the Sweetheart Invitational. New Prague won both dual meets, but for the first time this season came out on the short end of a score, placing second to Mound-Westonka at Jackson.

New Prague was scheduled to compete at Prior Lake Tuesday, Jan. 22, then travel to Northfield Friday, Jan. 25, for a rematch with their main rival for the conference title. The Trojans edged out the Raiders in a close contest January 8.

The State True Team Class A state meet will be Saturday in Perham. The Trojans, as one of the top-10 ranked teams, were invited but declined the invitation due to the heavy schedule.

Trojans 141.4, Tigers 131.275

New Prague remained unbeaten in the Missota with a 10-plus point win over Farmington Tuesday, Jan. 15. The Trojans scored 141.4 to the Tigers' 131.275.

New Prague dominated on the bars, taking the first four places, and on the floor, where they took the top three spots. The Trojans won those two events by a total of six points.

While our point total was pretty good
