Habitat for Humanity plans fundraiser

What do Habitat for Humanity, Chef John Schumacher and the New Prague Golf Club have in common?

All three will be part of the first-ever Habitat for Humanity fundraiser in New Prague.

The event is slated for Saturday, Nov. 17, at the New Prague Golf Club. The evening will begin with a social hour, followed by a gourmet dinner.

Schumacher and Molly Dollarhide, chef at New Prague Golf Club, will team up in preparing the dining extravaganza.

The evening will then continue with a live auction of 20 unique, one-of-a-kind items of value. Schumacher will serve as the auctioneer for this event as well.

Who will be chosen for the next

Habitat for Humanity home?

Those interested in applying may pick up an application at the New Prague Public Library, complete it and return it to the New Prague Chamber of Commerce office. Certain income guidelines do apply.

The next Habitat home will be located at 1511 Praha Street in New Prague. Diane Muelken and her family were the first Habitat for Humanity recipients.

The application deadline is Thursday, Nov. 15. A screening committee will then review all applications and select the next recipient.
