Hall of Fame inductees honored at NPHS

New Prague High School inducted two new members to its Hall of Fame Tuesday, as part of the school's Evening of Excellence.

The induction ceremony followed presentations to a number of students who had earned various honors during the school year, and the presentation of scholarships to members of this year's senior class.

Distinguished service

Karl Tise, a retired language arts teacher, made the presentation to the new Hall of Fame members. The first one was made to the family of the late Fran Langer, who received the Distinguished Service award. Langer taught at New Prague High School from 1958 through 1993. Langer died last week, at the age of 76.

Tise said one of the pleasures he has in presiding over the induction ceremonies is that he gets to honor people he worked with as peers.
