Harry J. Novak, 84
Harry J. Novak, 84, of Richfield, died on Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina.
He was born in New Prague on July 14, 1920, to Joseph and Mary (Adamek) Novak. He retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in April of 1983 and was a U.S. Navy WWII vet.
Harry married Elizabeth J. Long. He enjoyed his family and his lake cabin.
He is survived by his children, Thomas Novak, Richfield, Mary (Thomas) Brodersen, Shakopee, Sally Novak, Eagan, Denise (John) Notermann, Rochester, Nancy (Douglas) Hlas, Apple Valley, Richard (Linda) Novak, Richfield and Jane (Cmdr. Michael) Kelly, Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Jason (Megan), Matthew and Amy Notermann, Brian, Brent and Christine Brodersen, McKenzie, Chloe and Elliot Novak, Katie, Patrick and Caroline Hlas and John Kelly; sisters, Mary (John) Reiners and Lorraine Gabriel; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Betty.
Visitation was on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Morris Nilsen Chapel and one hour prior to the Mass at church. Prayer service was at 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Richfield.
Interment was at Fort Snelling.
