Helen Skluzacek, 85
Helen A. Skluzacek, 85, of Lonsdale, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at the Northfield Hospital.
Helen Simon was born September 16, 1922, in Lonsdale. She married Edward L. Skluzacek on April 29, 1946, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli. Helen had been employed by Coast to Coast Hardware as a sales clerk for many years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception CCW, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the Golden Agers.
She is survived by daughters Marlys (Jim) Freid, Lonsdale and JoAnn (Russ) Huber, Eagle Lake; sisters Janet Kocina, New Prague and Julia Malecha, Northfield; grandchildren Lori (Chad) Beumer, Jeff (Kirsten) Huber, Jodi (Sean) Kenneally, Jill (Chad) Lawson and Robb (Tracy) Huber; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter Carleen; sister Delores Peterka; and parents Joe T. and Anna Simon.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m.Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lonsdale, with Rev. Troy Przybilla officiating.
Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Lonsdale.
Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday one hour prior to the Mass at the White Funeral Home in Lonsdale.
