Henry J. Speikers, 85

Henry J. Speikers, 85, of St. Therese in New Hope, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006.

Henry was born in Montgomery on March 7, 1921, a son of Henry and Christine (Soukup) Speikers. He married Evelyn Rynda of Le Center on June 1, 1946, and they lived in North St. Paul for many years.

He is survived by children, John, Steve, Pete (Sherry), Dave (Tina) and Sue (Steve) Johnson; grandchildren, Heidi, Sandra, Therese, Colin, Harmon and Travis; great-granddaughter, Emilee; three sisters, Bea (Alvin) Turek, Shakopee, Delores Kotek, New Prague and Gloria Kovall, Annandale.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, May 23 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in North St. Paul. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Visitation was held for one hour prior to the Mass at church.

Arrangements were with the Sandberg Family Funeral Home in North St. Paul.
