Henry - Neutgens

Katie Neutgens, daughter of Dan and Sue Neutgens of New Prague, and Nate Henry, son of Scott and Lynn Henry of New Market, were married Saturday, June 29, 2013, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague, with Father Dan Haugen officiating.

The bride was escorted by her father and wore a satin flare gown with a princess crown veil. Sara Roen, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Kari Janski, another sister of the bride, along with Alyssa (Riley) Aleckson, Nikki Stassen and Amy (Rahn) Zaffke, all friends and college roommates, were bridesmaids. Taylor Janski, niece of the bride, was junior bridesmaid, and Jada Roen, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Jason Henry, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Jamie Janski and Joel Roen, brothers in-law of the bride, Curt Roen, nephew of the bride, and Ryan Schmitz.

Ringbearer was Caleb Wagner, cousin of the groom. Darin Wagner, Godfather of the groom, and Ken Wagner, uncle of the groom, served as ushers.

Emma Wagner, cousin of the groom, and Scott Lehrke were soloists. Sister Cheryl Wagner, great aunt of the groom, was the scripture reader and Leander Wagner, grandfather of the groom, was the Eucharistic minister. Ethan and Mitch Wagner, cousins of the groom, were altar servers and family of the groom’s Godmother, the Stanczaks, presented the communion gifts. Blithe and Parker Zaun gave out programs.

Following the High Mass, a reception was held at the Ridges of Sand Creek Golf Course in Jordan for 275 guests. Live music was played by “Downtown Sound.”

The couple went on a honeymoon to Riviera Mayo, Mexico, and now reside at their new home in Belle Plaine.

Grandparents of the groom are Sylvia and Jerry Henry of Lakeville and Leander Wagner of New Market and the late Vicki Wagner.

Grandparents of the bride were the late Delphine and Alfred Zaun of New Prague, and the late Luella and Wilbur Neutgens of Jordan.
