High School Polka Band among new acts at Dozinky
There will be some new entertainment at this year’s Dozinky celebration in New Prague, all gathered in the same area.
Those who enjoy Old Time music will have two reasons to visit the stage at Central Avenue N. on Saturday morning. One of the two new acts to be featured at that stage will be Tim Chlan on the concertina. A junior at New Prague High School, he will be performing from 10-11 a.m. At 11 a.m., Chlan will be joined by other members of the New Prague High School Polka Band, which will play until 11:30.
Also new this year is a bingo tent being operated by the New Prague Rotary Club. The tent will be located in the parking lot off of Central Avenue N. and will open at 10 a.m. It will close for an hour at noon for the Parade of Farm Pride and will then be open from 1-5 p.m.
Money raised at the bingo tent will be used to purchase public use defibrillators that will be placed around the community.
