Hilary Gill, 89
Hilary John Gill, 89, of Milwaukee, WI, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011.
He was a post WWII Navy veteran, member of Knights of Columbus, and retired from Rexnord Co.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Joyce (Butler); children Cheryl (Ralph) Sorenson, John, Judith (Thomas) Allen, Carol (John) Betker, Thomas and Jennifer; grandchildren Jessica (Erik) Nelson, Stephen, Matthew and John-Michael Sorenson, Benjamin and Hillary Allen, Elisabeth Betker, and Alexandra and Ethan Gill; great-granddaughter Liliana Nelson; siblings Cecelia Kane, Joseph (Patricia), Alphonse (Mary Ann), Norbert (Betty) and Rose Mary Gill; brothers-inlaw Robert Butler and Agnes Gill; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Eva; siblings Gertrude, Alois, Beatrice (Joseph) Stepan; brother-in-law Russell Kane; and sister-in-law Arline Butler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 2, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Good Hope Church, N. 41st St. and W. Good Hope Rd., in Milwaukee.
Interment is at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Zwaska Funeral Home in Milwaukee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Alzheimer's Association or Our Lady of Good Hope Parish.
