Historical society board no longer recognized by Le Sueur County

As far as the Le Sueur County commissioners are concerned, the current county historical society board no longer exists.
That determination came in the form of a motion, offered during the Tuesday, April 12, county board meeting, stating in part, that the Le Sueur County Board of Commissioners no longer recognizes the historical board and will notify all interested and affected parties.
The basis for the motion came in a statement presented to fellow county board members by 4th District Commissioner Cliff Wetzel, who listed his opinions on the current status of the society. His primary objection was because The acting historical board has chosen to disregard the approved bylaws to the extent that there is no longer much resemblance between them and the Le Sueur County Historical Society organization.
