Hockey splits a pair of games
The Bulldog Hockey Team of Le Sueur Henderson, St. Peter, TCU and Cleveland School Districts split a pair of matches last week.
Bulldogs 3,
St. Paul Como Park 8
In its first match of the season, the Bulldogs traveled to St. Paul Como Park. Coach Shawn Carlson called the start of the season an interesting one. Because the team is not deep, he said they have been experimenting with some different ideas. In this game, the team did a nice job offensively, but had too many defensive problems to be successful.
In the game, the Titans first goal came in the first period from Brock Solomon, assisted by Sam Wenner and Austin Braun. On a powerplay, Wenner scored again in the second period, assisted by Braun and Ryan Hoehn. Wenner scored the Titans’ final goal of the game later in the period in another powerplay, assisted by Braun and Regner.

Fairmont 0
The Bulldogs fared better on December 1 when they traveled to Fairmont, winning the game 7-0.
“We did a much better job overall against Fairmont,” Carlson said. “We will continue to improve in areas that need improvement as we move along throughout the season.”
Scoring for the Bulldogs came from Braun; Solomon assisted by Levi Steuck and Wenner; Wenner, assisted by Braun; Regner, assisted by Brett Zallek; Zallek assisted by Hoehn; and Zallek again assisted by Jonny Favre and Nate Douglas.
