Hwy. 169 Mankato to St. Peter to 'fully' reopen Oct. 12
If all goes as planned, Highway 169 between Mankato and St. Peter should be fully opened with four lanes sometime on Wednesday, Oct. 12 and a ceremony with local, state and federal dignitaries is planned for Thursday, Oct. 13.
Crews are currently completing the cable median barriers and the installation of rumbles, striping and signing through the end of this week and into early next week with a goal of opening Highway 169 to four lanes on Wednesday.
The striping on Highway 22 is currently being removed to its original condition with the re-establishment of No Passing Zones. Motorists should use caution where they are sand-blasting off the old stripes.
Seven Mile County Park will open after the four lanes are open and some recent flood damage if repaired.
Continued caution for workers and equipment are advised for motorists as crews work hard to complete the project.
