Injured owl returned to the wild

Go girl!

With those words, Polly Bieber, who lives near Heidelberg, released a great horned owl back into the area on Saturday, Nov. 4, completing a circle that began more than two months ago.

On August 17 Tom Perlich and Stephanie Glisczinski, friends of Polly's daughter, Christina, were taking a dirt road west of Union Hill back to the New Prague area from Belle Plaine, when they found the owl along the side of the road near where Galena Avenue and 263rd Street West meet.
