Intersection north of New Prague will go back to 2-way stop
The Intersection of County State Aid Highways 2 and 15 (260th Street and Drexel Avenue) North of New Prague will revert back to a 2-way stop, with east-west traffic on CSAH Highway 2 stopping at that intersection.
CSAH 2 was the official detour during the recent Highway 13/19 construction project, and temporary stop signs were added on Drexel Avenue to control traffic at that intersection. Now that the construction project is over, the signs will be removed at midday on Thursday, Nov. 29.
According to Joe Gustafson, traffic engineer with Scott County Public Works, the county considered retaining the 4-way stop permanently, but it was determined through traffic studies that the 4-way was not warranted.
