Irene Vinella, 87
Irene (Vlasak) Vinella, 87, of Eden Prairie, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011.
Irene was born on July 14, 1924, in rural Montgomery, a daughter of the late Frank and Christina (Zoubek) Vlasak. She graduated from Montgomery High School and attended a business school in Minneapolis. She was employed in Minneapolis until her marriage to Frank Vinella.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years; children JoAnn (Tom) Meyer, Patti (John) Kissel, Jim (Kathy) Vinella, Peter (Renee) Vinella, Mary Vinella (Lee Loeffler), Linda Vinella, Debbie (Brian) Anderson and Terri Brooks; 23 grandchildren Mike, Jason, Chris, Marissa, Angie, Jeremy, Tony, Frank, Emily, Marie, Alyssa, Lauren, Steven, Molly, Dustin, Katelin, John, Amanda, Jay, Sam, Sarah, Brandon and Thomas; three great-grandchildren Caitlyn, Cameron and Caleb; and two sisters Marian Jirak, New Prague, and Lucille Intelkofer, Seattle, WA.
She was preceded in death by infant daughter Karen Jean; daughter in law Sue Vinella (Keenan); her parents; two sisters Mrs. Louis (Adeline) Krocak, Montgomery, and Mrs. George (Tina) Tuma, Le Sueur; and three brothers Francis, Edward and George, all of Montgomery.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m., at Pax Christi Catholic Community in Eden Prairie.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Visitation was held Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel, and at the church one hour prior to the service.
