It’s Summer Time!

The calendar says summer is still a few weeks away, and the weather earlier this week still had a bit of a chill to it, but for all intents and purposes, summertime has arrived.

For many people summer begins right after Memorial Day or when the schools let out. That means, despite a chilly start, people are in full summer mode.

Minnesotans are a hearty bunch and enjoy the outdoors. Never moreso than summer. We are the Land of 10,000 Lakes, and many Minnesotans do their best to find one of those lakes at least a few times during the summer, whether it’s to visit a beach, go to a family cabin or take a vacation where they can enjoy one of the state’s most abundant resources.

There’s nothing like a good summer vacation with the family to help recharge the batteries. Whether you prefer the forests of northern Minnesota, the beauty of the North Shore, the many resorts in Central and West Central Minnesota or the convenience of the southern Minnesota lakes, we encourage you to get out and enjoy what the state has to offer.

Of course, if you’re not one who enjoys the lakes, there are other things to do. The Twin Cities offer a wide variety of options for a summer escape, and they are a short drive away so you don’t have to plan out a long trip. “Staycations” have become a popular entertainment alternative. Whatever you do though, make sure to enjoy the summer weather while it lasts. It won’t be long before the snow and cold returns to Sunny Minnesota.

But then again, if you’re like many Minnesotans, you might enjoy that too.
