Jack Zvanovec, 64
Jack Francis Zvanovec, 64, of New Prague, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale after a brief illness.
Jack was born on August 25, 1940, to Frank and Julia (Pexa) Zvan-ovec in New Prague. He grad-uated from New Prague High School in 1958 and attended St. Thomas for one year. He then sought employment. Jack worked for Robin Hood Mill on a traveling crew for a while. After a few other odd jobs, he found his passion in the postal service, working there for 30 years until his retirement in 1992.
Jack loved football, NASCAR, fishing and driving his 1966 Lincoln convertible.
Jack is survived by his two sons, Dave and Mark, both of New Prague; one brother, Fritz Zvanovec, Michigan; and one sister, Sue, New Hope.
Jack was cremated at the Cremation Society of Minnesota on Friday, Sept. 17. There will not be any visitation or funeral services but his sons invite family and friends to the City Club Bar on Sunday, Oct. 3, from noon to 6 p.m. to celebrate Jack’s life. Food and drinks will be provided.
