Jeremy K. Franek, age 35, of New Prague, died Saturday, September 21, 2013, at H e n n e p i n County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Jeremy was born August 25, 1978, in New Prague to Kenneth and Nancy (Hrdlicka) Franek. He attended LNMV School and New Prague High School. Jeremy married Agnieszka "Aga" Gleba on May 20, 2006, in Veseli, MN, and the couple made their home in New Prague. Jeremy worked in concrete and masonry in the construction industry. He was a member of the New Prague Sportsmen Club and loved fishing and hunting. He had a love of history and was proud of his collection of military memorabilia. Jeremy's pride and joy in his life were his two boys. At the end of his life, Jeremy was a donor, giving 5 people a chance at life with the gift of his organs.
Jeremy is survived by his wife, Agnieszka "Aga", and sons, Alex & Ryan; his parents, Ken & Nancy Franek of New Prague; parents-in-law, Boleslaw & Teresa (Pludniak) Gleba of Torun, Poland; siblings, Jason (& Tanya) Franek of Lonsdale, Kristin (& Nick) Schroers of New Prague, Beth Franek & special friend Nick Braith of New Prague, Jody (& Daniel) Breathwaite of Lakeville, Micki (& Andy) Kreuser of New Prague; 12 nieces and nephews; grandmother, Phyllis Hrdlicka of Le Center.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Clem Hrdlicka, Ben & Rose Franek.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 27, 2013, at 10:00 AM at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli with Father John Lapensky officiating. Visitation will take place Thursday from 4 - 8 PM at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague. Burial will occur at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Veseli.
